Lavender Blue opened the show for Multi-Platinum Recording Artist "COLLIN RAYE" at the BRITT Outdoor Music Festival in Jacksonville, Oregon.
LAVENDER BLUE - Variety Dance Band is an Oregon based vocal quartet comprising a wireless keytarist, bassist, guitarist and drummer performing hit after hit in virtually every popular dance genre from 1960 to 2012 and beyond, as well as, popular original dance songs. Be prepared to get your weeks-worth of cardio heart-pounding exercise every single night with the pulsating and infectious rhythms of this non-stop powerhouse. This show is guaranteed to keep you dancing.

BIOGRAPHIES
Jeffrey Lackey - California ; keyboardist / vocalist / sound & lighting engineer / webmaster / publicist / graphic designer
Jeff was born in Berkeley, California into a musical family. Jeff composed and recorded his first song at the tender age of nine and at the age of eleven won first-place in a school talent competition singing and playing the piano. Jeff's first live television performance was at the age of fourteen in Bakersfield, California. Jeff received his vocal training, performed in concert and recorded with "Richard Carpenter's" California State University at Long Beach music teacher, Bruce Gifford. Jeff also sang in concert with "Peter Frampton's" sister-in-law, Karen Zuniga. Jeff declined a keyboard audition in 1979 with "Question Mark and the Mysterians", famous for their former #1 hit song "96 Tears". Jeff relocated to Oregon in 1980 and in 1984 formed the "Dy-Namix" rock band and released his original music on Oregon radio stations. Jeff was recruited by the "In-Flight" band in 1987, where he performed and toured internationally in various countries, including Japan and South Korea's #4077 M.A.S.H. unit, made popular by the 1970's television series "M*A*S*H", starring actor "Alan Alda". Jeff has performed on stage with Grammy Award nominee "Jeff Healey", who was featured in the 1989 movie "Road House", starring actor "Patrick Swayze". In 1995 Jeff purchased the Yamaha baby grand piano played in concert by award-winning pianist and composer, "Burt Bacharach", which has inspired much of Jeff's original song repertoire. Jeff came aboard "Lavender Blue" in December, 2001.
Rich Elling - California ; bassist / vocalist / MC / booking agent
Rich's background in music began as a singer in the boy's choir. Rich has performed at nationally renowned venues from North Beach, San Francisco to "CowBoy Bar" in Jackson hole, Wyoming. Rich relocated to Oregon in 1975 and performed with several local bands, before establishing the "Lavender Blue" band in 1997.
Joe Corbell - Oregon ; guitarist / vocalist
Joe's background in music began as a child in a musical family. At age 10, Joe was singing in the choir and found his natural ability for strumming the guitar. Joe has performed professionally since age 12 and has since performed with such notable Oregon bands as "Ambush" and also with the "Renegades". Joe has been an original member of "Lavender Blue" since it began in 1997.
Chris Videler - Netherlands ; drummer / vocalist / percussionist
Chris' background in music began at age fourteen performing in the clubs of Holland. Chris performed on Dutch television and radio shows, while providing drum tracks in the recording studio for notable Dutch singers. Chris relocated to Oregon in 1990 and began performing with local touring groups, while recording with the legendary "Ben Benay". Chris came aboard "Lavender Blue" in September of 2000.
